Y YKK?

At Blackpants, we only use YKK zippers in the manufacturing of our garments.

But what is YKK?

And why do we use them?

There are a few reasons.

YKK is a Japan based company, and the largest manufacturer of zippers in the world. Their Zippers are superior quality, and although more expensive, Blackpants would never use an inferior product to cut costs. There is a saying in the Rag Trade, “A zipper will never make a garment…. But it can definitely break a garment”! At Blackpants, we manufacturer an expensive and high end quality, product, so we cant afford to trust any other zipper than the YKK brand

Also, all our zippers are 100% Nickel Free, which makes them not only eco friendly but also hypoallergenic. This means no irritation or discomfort for you, when wearing Blackpants garments!

Oh, and even though we use Silver zippers, we love that YKK have 20 shades of black in their colour library!!
